University Assistant Post-Doc (all genders)

At the Institute of Applied Synthetic Chemistry, in the Research Group for Bioorganic Synthetic Chemistry TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant post-doc (all genders) until expected September 30th, 2027 (with optional 6-months extension) for 40 hours/week. Expected start: July 2026.
Tasks:
- Research activities in the field of mechanochemical organic synthesis
- Contribution to teaching in the above-mentioned field, as well as Green Chemistry Metrics
- Assistance with examinations
- Project work, collaboration on project proposals, and leadership of project groups
- Publication activities
- Participation in and organization of scientific events (BDSHC 2028)
- Supervision of students
- Assistance with organizational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures
Your profile:
- Completion of an doctorate in organic-synthetic chemistry or an equivalent and in-depth knowledge of the subject area
- Experience in national and international research cooperation as well as in project management and presentations
- Interdisciplinary work
- Experience in teaching and publication activities as well as interest and pleasure in research and work/support with students
- Organizational and analytical skills as well as a structured way of working
- Excellent command of the English language (C1) and very good communicative skills and team competences

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 5,014.30/month gross, 14 times/year for 40 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
