At the Institute of Chemical Technologies and Analytics, in the Research Unit of Chemical Technologies TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant prae-doc (all genders) limited tp expected 4 years for 30 hours/week. Expected start: March 2026.
Tasks:
- Collaboration on research and teaching tasks as well as examinations
- Guidance of students
- Research and project activity in the field of synthesis and structural characterization of inorganic compounds with high-entropy sublattices
- Writing a dissertation and publications
- Participation in scientific events
- Collaboration in organizational and administrative tasks
Your profile:
- Completion of a master or diploma degree in one of these fields: Chemistry, Materials Science
- Experience in the field of inorganic, metallorganic and organometallic synthesis methods
- Ideally, knowledge in structural elucidation by means of diffraction techniques
- Command of English at least on C1-level
- Interest in research in the field and in working with students
- Ability to work in a team, problem-solving skills and innovative ability

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 2,832.10/month gross, 14 times/year for 30 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
