University Assistant Prae-Doc (all genders)

At the Institute of Management Science, in the Research Unit of Labor Science and Organization TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant prae-doc (all genders) limited to expected 4 years for 30 hours/week. Expected start: December 2025.

Tasks:

  • Working on research projects at the intersection of work, technology and organisation, with a particular focus on AI and robotic technology.
  • Autonomous teaching of courses
  • Supervising students and their theses.
  • Collaborating on research and project activities in the field of ergonomics and organisation.
  • Write a dissertation and publish in the research area of work, technology and organisation.
  • Participation in scientific events and conferences.
  • Collaboration on organisational and administrative tasks

Your profile:

  • Completion of a relevant master's or diploma degree (e.g., science and technology studies, business administration, sociology with a focus on work and/or organisation, psychology with a focus on work and/or organisation, business informatics, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar fields of study)
  • In-depth knowledge in the field of gender studies is desirable
  • Excellent English skills
  • Interest in interdisciplinary research at the interface of work, technology, and organisation
  • Interest in and enjoyment of working with students
  • Ability to work in a team

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 2,786.10/month gross, 14 times/year for 30 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
