Student Employee

At the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformation, TU Wien is offering a position as student employee in research/administration for 40 hours/week exclusively for the lecture-free period. Expected start: July 2025. This position is limited to expected 2 months, but no longer than the completion of a master's or diploma degree.

The department consists of the following eight research units and the applicants are required to choose in which of them they want to work. Please clearly state your preferred group in your application!

- Photogrammetry
- Climate and Environmental Remote Sensing
Tasks:
- You will support one of our teams (see units above) in a specific research project
- Please see the units’ websites for reference about current projects
- Details of the tasks will be defined upon the start of the contract based on your qualifications and interests
Your profile:
- Enrolled in a relevant bachelor's or master's program (Geodesy, Geoinformation, Geosciences, Cartography, or similar); No completed master's or diploma degree in the subject area
- Familiarity with the data we're working with and/or projects we're involved in
- Confidence that your technical and programming expertise (e.g., Python or Matlab) fit our needs

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade C of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 2,699.20/month gross, 14 times/year for 40 hours/week.
