The Research Unit of Applied Statistics in the Institute of Statistics and Mathematical Methods in Economics at TU Wien has an opening for a university assistant post-doc (all genders) for 40 hours/week. The expected start date is March 2025. This is a fixed-term position limited to expected six years.
Tasks:
- Carry out collaborative and independent research in Statistics
- Teaching: Create and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments to ensure curriculum relevance and alignment with the latest academic and/or industry trends
- Supervision of students
- Professional Development: Stay current with emerging trends and challenges in Statistics, pursue opportunities for professional growth
- Participation in organizational and administrative tasks of the research division and the faculty
Your profile:
- PhD in Statistics or related fields
- Demonstrated experience in or potential for teaching and curriculum development at the undergraduate and graduate level
- Demonstrated ability or potential to work independently and collaboratively
- Organizational and analytical skills as well as a structured way of working
- Excellent communication skills and command of the English language

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 4,752.30/month gross, 14 times/year for 40 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
