University Assistant (Post-Doc)

40 hours/week | for 6 years

The Institute of Electrodynamics, Microwave and Circuit Engineering at TU Wien, is offering a position as university assistant (Post-doc) in the Research Group Biomedical Electronics and Systems for 6 years (40 hours/week). The expected start is April 2021.


  • Deep interest in scientific problems and the motivation of independent and goal-oriented research
  • Teaching and assistance in examinations (bachelor's program in electrical engineering) and supervision of students
  • The ability to develop methods and concepts in biomedical electronics and to realize and evaluate them
  • Participation in organizational and administrative tasks of the research division and the faculty
  • Publication of scientific results

Your profile:

  • Completion of an appropriate doctorate and in-depth knowledge of the subject area of biomedical electronics
  • Experience in national and international research cooperation as well as in project management and presentations
  • Interdisciplinary research activity (electrical engineering and life science)
  • Experience in teaching and evidence of scientific publication activity
  • Organisational and analytical skills as well as a structured way of working
  • Excellent command of German and English language and very good communicative skills and team competences

 Entry level salary as a postdoctoral researcher is covered by level B1 of the Austrian Collective Agreement for university staff, and receives a minimum of currently EUR 3.945,90/month gross, 14 times/year. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
