In the Department Center for Research Data Management, a multidisciplinary and centrally located contact point at the TU Wien, we are looking for an immediate reinforcement for the following field of activity.
This position is part of a tender within the framework of the BMBWF (Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research) funded call "Digital and Social Transformation in Higher Education" for the funded project "FAIR Data Austria", which is carried out within the cluster "Research Data".
The project "FAIR Data Austria" contributes to strengthening the knowledge transfer between universities, economy and society and supports the implementation of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). The practical application of the FAIR principles is crucial in scientific processes, both in the construction of digital infrastructures and in the development of training and support services. The connection to the global GO FAIR initiative plays a major role in this context.
Implementation of a GO FAIR National Office
Participation in the establishment of an Austria-wide GO FAIR support team
Establishing contacts with relevant initiatives and bodies in Austria (research institutions, funding bodies, ministries, industry, etc.)
Implementation of a local FAIR reference point at the TU Wien
Exchange with the GO FAIR International Support & Coordination Office (GFISCO) and other GO FAIR National Offices
Collaboration in selected GO FAIR Implementation Networks and support of national Implementation Networks in Austria
Presentations at and organisation of relevant information events, seminars and workshops
Design and implementation of a communication strategy with relevant stakeholders including IT services
Participation in administrative tasks of the Center for Research Data Management (preparation of reports, evaluations, etc.)
University degree (Dipl.-Ing., Master, PhD)
Passionate about Open Science topics, experience with research data management and (machine-actionable) tools an advantage
Experience with consulting activities and in dealing with researchers from different disciplines
Organisational and communication skills, flexibility, creativity and independence
Integrative, open personality, high ability to work in a team
Good command of English and German is required

Remuneration shall be based on the minimum remuneration for salary group IVa and shall amount to at least EUR 1.336,55 gross/month for weekly employment of 20 hours. (14 x per year).
